Program Overview
The program provides and maintains a supportive learning environment and curriculum that prepares students for entry-level, diagnostic radiographer positions. The program prepares students to successfully complete the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Examination and, upon successful completion of this examination, become Registered Technologists in Radiography, RT(R).
Program Learning Outcomes
Goal 1 Students will demonstrate clinical competency.
- PLO1: Students will utilize proper positioning skills.
- PLO2: Students will obtain radiographs of acceptable diagnostic quality.
- PLO3: Students will exercise proper radiation protection.
Goal 2 Students will develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- PLO4: Students will be able to modify standard procedures to accommodate non-routine patient conditions.
- PLO5: Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to critique images to determine diagnostic quality.
Goal 3 Students will apply effective communication skills.
- PLO6: Students will demonstrate effective oral communication skills.
- PLO7: Students will exercise effective written communication skills.
Program Delivery
The Radiologic Technology program is delivered in a blended format. Courses will be delivered entirely online, entirely on-ground or with an appropriate blend of both online and on-ground hours in the same course. Campuses may have the option to deliver general education courses either online or on-ground depending on local need and availability.
