RADT2230 : Positioning III
This advanced radiographic positioning course builds upon foundational principles with a focus on imaging the cranium, facial bones, sinuses, and complex extremity views. Students will engage with specialized procedures, including contrast-enhanced studies of the digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems, as well as arthrography and myelography. Instruction also covers mobile and surgical radiography, with attention to pediatric and trauma-specific adaptations. Emphasis is placed on anatomical relationships, procedural planning, exposure factor selection, patient consent, and safety protocols. Students will explore pharmacologic concepts related to contrast media administration and develop clinical proficiency through image critique, case-based analysis, and preparation for advanced practice environments.
