Classes

ECGY1010 : Electrocardiography

This Continuing Education course provides practical instruction in the field of phlebotomy and prepares students to sit for various national certifications. Topics include the electrophysiology of the conduction system, axis determination, identification and calculations of waveforms and arrhythmias, and patterns of myocardial infarction and ischemia. This course will also emphasize cardiac anatomy and physiology & will include the understanding of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures e.g. stress EKG, Holter monitoring as well as, emergency cardiac medication. No academic credit is awarded for this course.
